Cross County Jail Roster Overview
The official roster is hosted by the Cross County Sheriff's Office. It has two main branches: the Current Inmates roster and the 48 Hour Release roster. The current roster covers people held at the Cross County Detention Center now. The release roster covers people released from the detention center within the prior 48 hours. Both are free and public.
The roster is useful, but it is not the only access channel. The sheriff profile warning says charges and bail amounts may change after court appearances and may not be current. Bond companies and people trying to post bail are told to call detention staff at 870-238-5700 for correct bail amount, charges, and case numbers. If a person has been sentenced to Arkansas prison custody, the county roster may stop being the right system and the Arkansas DOC locator becomes the correct place to search.
Use the Cross County Inmate Roster
Start with the sheriff roster landing page when the person may be in the Cross County Detention Center. A name is usually enough to begin, although the public roster also shows booking numbers after results load. Use the 48 Hour Release branch if the person was in custody recently but no longer appears on the current list.

- Enter a first or last name in Search By Name, or use Show All if spelling is uncertain.
- Sort by name or date if the list is long.
- Open View Profile for the inmate's public detail page.
- Call 870-238-5700 if bond, charges, case numbers, or release status need confirmation.
Someone missing from the roster may have been released, transferred to Arkansas DOC, held in another jurisdiction, booked as a juvenile, or listed under a different spelling. The sheriff app also advertises inmate information as a mobile access route, but the web roster is the directly documented public source.

The sheriff roster has simple controls. It does not require a login, and the research did not find a posted wildcard or minimum-character rule. Use the exact name from court papers, bond paperwork, or a booking record when available.

Cross County Inmate Profile Fields
A roster card gives a quick custody snapshot. The profile adds the clearest public detail. The sample Cross County profile inspected on May 28, 2026 showed a mugshot, a VINELink icon, booking number, age, gender, race, arresting agency, booking date, charges, and a warning to call the jail for correct bail, charges, and case numbers.

Cross County Jail Contact Checks
Phone and in-person checks are still important because the sheriff roster itself warns that bail and charges may change. The detention center phone is posted as 24 hours. Administrative office hours are listed as 8:00am to 4:00pm, and the sheriff site uses the South Falls Boulevard jail address. The county government also lists the sheriff at Canal Street, so call before traveling if the purpose is a records request or office visit.

The sheriff pages inspected did not publish a Cross County visitation schedule, visitor dress code, child-visitor rule, video-visit fee, or mail format. That absence should not be filled with guesses. Confirm the inmate's custody status first, then call the detention center before traveling or creating a vendor account.

Cross County Inmate Funds
The sheriff jail page links to City Tele Coin for placing money into an inmate's account or ordering commissary. City Tele Coin provides account login, payment, calling-card, video-call, contact-management, commissary-deposit, and messaging functions. It also links to CommissaryDeposit for supported commissary deposits. Specific Cross County fees, limits, and video schedules were not posted in the official local pages reviewed.
The manifest includes a screenshot of the City Tele Coin vendor page because Cross County's jail page uses that vendor route for money and commissary.
The vendor screenshot supports the money and account section, but the jail should still be called before sending funds to confirm the person is held locally.
Request Cross County Booking Records
The sheriff FAQ states that jail booking records and warrant records may be public under Arkansas FOIA, along with incident reports, accident reports, civil-process records, citations, and dispatch logs. It also names limits for active investigations, personnel records, sealed or expunged records, juvenile offenders or suspects, and some outside-agency records. No dedicated FOIA web form was located on the sheriff site.
Practical request channels are phone, the sheriff contact page, in-person contact during administrative hours, or mailed contact to the official sheriff or detention address. Be specific. Give the person's full name, booking date if known, booking number if known, and the records requested. Accident reports have a local $10 fee, but the research did not locate a specific booking-record fee.
Note: For current custody, bail, or release, call the jail first because public web entries can lag court changes.
Cross County Roster Terms
Roster entries use short jail and court terms. A booking is the jail admission event after arrest. Intake is the wider process that includes search, property handling, fingerprints, booking photo, medical or security screening, and housing assignment. A booking charge is the offense entered at jail intake. A court charge is the formal charge filed later in district or circuit court. These can match, but they do not have to match.
A hold for other agency means another jurisdiction or agency has a custody interest that may stop release even if local bond is posted. A detainer serves a similar function by alerting the jail that another agency wants notice or custody action. Classification is the jail process for assigning custody level and housing based on risk, needs, behavior, and case factors. Cross County does not publish housing unit or cell block on the inspected public profile.

Use the Arkansas DOC inmate locator for sentenced state prisoners after transfer. The DOC search includes ADC number, county, name, facility, gender, offense category, age, and race fields, plus a required disclaimer agreement. It is not the source for people still in city or county jail. The DOC guide says local jail detainees should be checked with the local facility.
Use the BOP inmate locator for federal inmates in BOP custody or released from BOP custody, and use ICE ODLS for current ICE detainees or CBP custody over 48 hours. Cross County has no official BOP or ICE detention facility in the research. A county roster entry may show a hold for another agency when the person is physically held locally.
